Had to get a second set of car seats. Had approximately ten minutes to shop for this item(s). At Target looking for cheapest, safest option. They don’t have TWO of what I want and this obnoxious slob of a Target employee screetches, “Sorry lady. You’ll just have to come back later. Tonight maybe.”

Expression on my face says: “Fuck you lady.” Then I leave.

I really showed her.

Well meaning friend: What did your boys dress up as for Halloween.

Me: Silence

Well meaning friend: I’ll bet they were cute. What were they?

Me: Babies. They dressed up as babies.

Well meaning friend: Silence. Blank look.

Me: Blank look (slight feeling of failure/shame/lameness).

Well meaning friend: Oh, cute.

Me: (telling myself …in my head) I get four hours of sleep of every night WELL MEANING FRIEND.
